A Special Visitor!

Last week our class had a four-legged guest come to listen to them read. Michelle and her Therapy Dog, Maddie came to our classroom. Each child got to read to her from a book that he or she selected. Maddie was such a wonderful guest, and listened to every child. It was a very special day!

Our class has been very busy writing our first letters to our pen pals at Clough Pike Elementary. The students can't wait to hear back from their new friends!

Open House

Thank you so much to everyone who came out for our first Open House in the new Amelia Elementary. I can't wait to start school with all of our new things, and I know that the kids are excited too! I'll see you Tuesday!

Hello everyone! We are winding down to the end of the summer. It has flown by quickly! I have started unpacking in the new building - it is so beautiful! I can't wait for you to see it. Our Open House is scheduled for Thursday, September 2nd. Check out Mrs. Walker's blog for pictures of the old building being taken down. See you soon!

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful summer! I am enjoying spending time with my husband and three sons. It won't be long until we move into our new building. I can't wait to start school at our new Amelia Elementary!
